 Desperate Haven is now out of print however the entire book has now been published online. Online Version of Desperate Haven - The Famine In Dungarvan This was the society's most ambitious project to date, involving research over a number of years and containing over 400 pages. It provides detailed accounts of the famine period in Dungarvan, with particular reference to the role of the workhouse in providing for the people.
